Illinois-Based Human Resources Expert Irina Cunnar

Irina Cunnar is a human resources generalist with SynSel Energy in Elk Grove, Illinois. As manager of the human resources department, she is responsible for making recommendations regarding employee benefits and recruitment. Irina Cunnar also wrote the SynSel employee handbook.

Previously, Ms. Cunnar acquired experience in environmental research at TLM Consulting. As a research assistant, she gained report writing and data analysis skills. She was also involved in customer service, providing client support and improving research operations.

As an undergraduate student at Loyola University of Chicago, Irina Cunnar obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology. In 2021, she earned a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from Loyola's Quinlan School of Business. In addition to her academic qualifications, she has completed training in employment law and performance management.

A member of the Society for Human Resources Management, Ms. Cunnar participates in community service initiatives. She has volunteered with the Center for Enriched Living, where she worked with people experiencing cognitive challenges. She has also volunteered at events held by the American Cancer Society. Outside her professional life, she enjoys a variety of activities including swimming and hiking.
